WinChat was created in late 2000 by Spectre, DeMENted and Unique_T.

You can connect to WinChat.Net by pointing your IRC client at irc.winchat.net.
Or you can start a Java client right now.

Once you have connected, you can easily register your nickname or create channels with the Network Services. Many people join #asylum to get to know the core people on the net, and you can get a listing of active channels by typing /list in your browser.

Check the listing of servers to see which host servers are currently active.

While on WinChat, you are expected to behave within the usual courtesies of IRC chat. The operators and servers of the net are expected to comply with our ruleset (WCOI). Winchat Network cannot monitor, prohibit, or regulate client-to-client (DCC) communications, nor be responsible for DCC or P2P transfers. Use caution when accepting files. Irc is an unmoderated medium, and as such, WinChat cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of visitors to our net.

A listing of our staff will show you just the names and positions of people on the net, if you are interested in details about them, visit the individual server home pages, or just chat with them!
